ROSI BERLIN SUCHT STÜCKE FÜR TANZBAD 5 !! (english version below)

ROSI BERLIN sucht frische Fische für die fünfte Ausgabe von Tanzbad, ein jährlich stattfindendes Festival für Kurzstücke im Bereich zeitgenössischer Tanz/ Tanztheater/ Performance. Tanzbad bietet eine Plattform, auf der Künstler_innen aus den verschiedenen Sparten der Performance-Kunst ihre Arbeiten präsentieren und sich begegnen können. Dabei sind wir stets auf der Suche nach frischen innovativen Arbeiten, die sich am Puls der Zeit bewegen.

→Tanzbad beschäftigt sich in seiner fünften Ausgabe mit den Begriffen Urbanität und Wandel, Heimat und Entfremdung. Die gesuchten Arbeiten sollten sich, egal in welcher Form, ob ästhetisch, inhaltlich oder konzeptuell mit Fragen der Ver- und Entwurzelung beschäftigen, dabei kann die räumliche, zeitliche, soziale sowie kulturelle Dimension des Begriffs Heimat von Bedeutung sein.

→ Wir brauchen in jedem Fall ein Video der fertigen Produktion. Die URL des Video Links könnt ihr in das Bewerbungsformular eintragen.

→ Die Rückwand der Bühne ist eine Spiegelwand und kann NICHT abgehängt werden, die Spielfläche ist 9m breit, 11m tief.

→ Da wir keine Reisekosten übernehmen können, richtet sich die Ausschreibung vor allem an in Berlin lebende Künstler_innen.

ROSI BERLIN IS LOOKING FOR NEW DANCE WORKS FOR TANZBAD 5!!

 ROSI BERLIN is seeking for fresh fish for the fifth edition of the Tanzbad. Once a we are looking for cutting edge Dance/ Dance-Theatre/ Performance that has the finger on the pulse.

Tanzbad is a performance series that takes place every year. The festivals aim is to open up a space where artists from different categories of performance art can present their work, meet and mix up. We are constantly looking for fresh and innovative works and concepts.

→ This year’s Tanzbad is about urban surroundings, changes, home and alienation.We are looking for pieces that deal with these topics conceptual, aesthetically or content wise. They may revolve around questions of rootedness and uprooting or apply the theme in a more abstract way, considering space, time and social and cultural backgrounds in relation to the concept of home.

Tanzbad 5 will be taking place at the 11. & 12. of April 2014, at the Ballhaus Ost, Pappelallee15, 10437 Berlin (www.ballhausost.de) and feature several works.Choreographers should preferably have a contemporary background. Length: 5 -15 minutes.

→ The backwall of the stage is a mirror and can NOT be cowered. (Stage size is 9m from side to side, 11m from back to front)

→ The festival is prioritizing berlin-based artists, as travel costs can NOT be reimbursed.
